Configuration for pools are fairly standardized in the ansible-ops-management repo. Moving to Rocky Linux 9 should be straightforward. There is no dependency on the systems needing to stay on Rocky Linux 8.

Checklist

  • Stand up Rocky Linux 9 systems for http pool in ORD
  • Stand up Rocky Linux 9 systems for rsync pool in ORD
  • Ensure systems have the necessary access to EFS volumes
  • Configure new systems via ansible

Optional?:

  • Stand up Rocky Linux 9 system(s) for rsync pools in EU
