[SIG] Requests for SIG Proposal: Database

Introduction

Hello, I am Ed Espino and I requesting resources for the Special Interest Group "Database".

Initial Project

I am an active member in the Greenplum Database Open Source community. We are interested to participate in the growing Rocky Linux community. To that end, I am proposing the creation of a general purpose Database Special Interest Group (SIG). Additionally, I am looking for those that would like to assist in this effort.

In short, Greenplum Database® is an advanced, fully featured, open source data warehouse. It provides powerful and rapid analytics on petabyte scale data volumes. Uniquely geared toward big data analytics, Greenplum Database is powered by the world’s most advanced cost-based query optimizer delivering high analytical query performance on large data volumes.

Greenplum Database is licensed under the Apache 2.0 License. It is compatible with a FOSS licenses used by Rocky Linux.
