I think we should at least make sure that the ubi images are pretty much built the same as the upstream images.

Attention this is definitely a breaking change!
Might have to be pushed with the next minor release and mentioned in the release notes.

I'm very open to discussion on this topic, so if any changes don't make sense, I will gladly discuss it.
