Some package and architecture combinations in the peridot/kubernetes environment are consistently failing to build, potentially due to OOM in the peridot/kubernetes environment.

  • Firefox (s390x) (Rocky Linux 9)
  • Thunderbird (s390x) (Rocky Linux 9)
  • java-21-openjdk-portable (s390x, intermittent) (Rocky Linux 9 & 10)
  • New versions of rust (aarch64 intermittent, s390x) (Rocky Linux 9, 10 supports the constrain_build macro, which can help mitigate this issue as needed)
  • webkit2gtk3 (x86_64/aarch64 intermittent, ppc64le/s390x always OOM) (Rocky Linux 9 & 10) (Globally setting cpu cores lower resolves this temporarily)
